Hours of Darkness - Night Photography
Hours of Darkness is a constantly expanding online gallery of night
/ low light photography. Featuring color and black & white photos.
The images were created using film and digital cameras. Night photos
of various subjects from Architectural, Industrial, Landscape,
Nautical, Transportation, and Travel to Abandoned Asylums and Modern
Ruins are displayed here.
This site is a trip through our nocturnal world where the stars
streak across sky and the clouds dance like apparitions. Where the
moon baths darkened landscape with its silvery light, all to be
captured by a long exposure creating extraordinary images.
The Artists
We are self taught photographer based
in New York. Night Photography is our primary form of expression.
Over the past several years we have attempted to master our
technique constantly trying to improve upon the photos we display.
We are always trying something new, something out of the ordinary to
keep audience intrigued .
Why Night Photography?
There is just something that draws us
out into the darkness. Perhaps it's just the feeling you get on a
night where the thermometer doesn't go past 7 degrees Maybe it's
that night photography requires more of a commitment one must linger
around one location for 3 hours or more just to get one good shot.
Whatever it is, we find ourselves out under the full moon with
cameras in hand. |
